Soho House Event Rentals – Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By renting items from Soho House Event Rentals (“Company”), the renter (“Customer”) agrees to the following terms and conditions. This agreement is effective as of the date the rental order is placed.

2. Rental Period

The rental period begins upon delivery or pickup of the rental items and ends upon their return to the Company. Standard rental periods are for one day unless otherwise specified in the rental agreement.

3. Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of reservation unless other arrangements have been made in writing. Accepted payment methods include credit card, debit card, and bank transfer.

4. Cancellations and Changes

Cancellations must be made at least 20 days before the event date to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 20 days prior will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total rental cost. Changes to the rental order must be made at least 72 hours before the event date and are subject to availability.

5. Delivery and Pickup

Delivery and pickup services are available for an additional fee if outside of Lyon county. The Customer must ensure that the delivery location is accessible and that someone is available to receive the items. The Customer is responsible for the safekeeping of the items until they are picked up by the Company.

6. Use of Rental Items

The Customer agrees to use the rental items in a careful and proper manner and in accordance with the instructions provided by the Company while any item is within their possession. The Customer is responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of the rental items during the rental period. Charges for damaged or missing items will be assessed and deducted from the security deposit, or billed separately if the deposit does not cover the costs.

7. Return of Items

All rental items must be returned in the condition they were received, with all accessories and parts included. Items should be free of food, debris, and other contaminants. The Customer may be charged a cleaning fee if items are returned excessively dirty.

8. Liability

The Company is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from the use of the rental items. The Customer assumes all risk and liability for the use of the rental items. The Company’s liability is limited to the rental cost of the items.

9. Insurance

The Customer is advised to have appropriate insurance coverage for the rental items during the rental period. The Company may require proof of insurance for high-value items.

10. Indemnification

The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney’s fees, arising out of or connected with the use of the rental items.

11. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Kansas. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Kansas.

12. Entire Agreement

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Customer and the Company with respect to the rental of items. No amendment or modification of this agreement shall be binding unless in writing and signed by both parties. My digital signature is a valid form of recognizing this agreement.

13. Severability

If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
